Our client, a global leader in innovative technology, seeks a QA Software Test Lead / Co-Ordinator to be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the work and delivery supporting the QA team.
As the QA Software Test Lead / Co-Ordinator you will be required to interact between departments and third parties, leveraging your existing skill set to ensure the framework, infrastructure and test scope are fit for purpose; increasing software quality and delivery timescales.
You will be responsible for planning and coordinating the testing team to ensure successful and timely delivery of testing workload aligned with software releases, reviewing project specifications, generating and presenting test plans, developing test scenarios and generating detailed test procedures to properly and rigorously test the system requirements and functionality.
As part of your role you will also be responsible for executing tests and validating test results; identifying, analysing, and documenting any defects discovered during testing; working with the software development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues; generating test reports to document all test results; and defining and developing the testing strategy, investigate software test tools and test automation.
The QA Software Test Lead / Co-Ordinator will ideally hold an appropriate computer science or other related engineering field qualification or have the equivalent work experience, previously worked as test lead and have knowledge of the software development and software testing lifecycles. You must have at least 3 years practical experience in a product testing/software testing/quality assurance engineering role, experience writing test plans and testing browser based and desktop applications.
Candidates should have Functional and Non-Functional Testing experience, previously worked in an Agile software development environment, experience with all Windows based operating systems (client and server) and experience with SQL Server and Transact-SQL queries. Experience with test case management systems, such as Zephyr, HP ALM etc and issue management systems, such as JIRA.
You will have excellent communication skills, have the ability to work on an individual basis and as part of a team and able to react quickly and appropriately to changing priorities and unexpected demands.
