This is a great opportunity for a Systems Administrator who truly enjoys supporting all aspects of IT. From assisting users on the Service Desk to administrating servers, applications, network hardware and other IT systems.
As a Systems Administrator you will be responsible for providing IT support to a business of over 400 users, across multiple sites, assisting all users with any IT related query. You will troubleshoot issues and provide solutions, setting new up user accounts and equipment and creating and maintaining user guides and documentation.
You will be responsible for administrating & maintaining company systems, such as Microsoft servers, Office 365 including Azure Active Directory, Intune, and Exchange Online. This also includes UNIX based application servers, networking equipment (switches, routers), the phone system and virtual infrastructure such as VMWare & Veeam.
You will also support other team members with ongoing projects and undertake own project work as required. Maintain and test backups, review maintenance cycles and undertake maintenance tasks as needed.
As a self-starter with a good aptitude for problem solving and can work both alone and with others in order to resolve issues, you will have excellent attention to detail and understanding of technical processes and systems.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have experience administrating and maintaining Microsoft products, from Server 2008R2 to Server 2019, including administrative tools, Office 365 and 365 cloud products such as Exchange Online, along with Microsoft Office.
You must have knowledge of and previous experience troubleshooting, managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including networking and telephony equipment, physical and virtual servers, switches, routers.
Previous experience with Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell, Juniper & Cisco switches, account and stock management systems is desirable.
On offer is a salary up to £35,000 plus benefits and on-call allowance after initial settling in period. Candidates will ideally be located within a sensible commute of Hatfield in Hertfordshire.
